Our Story

Native Foods was founded in 1994 in Palm Springs, California bringing into harmony our passion for fresh food and compassion for animals and the environment. Today, Native Foods has grown to become America’s premier fast-casual vegan restaurant group spanning coast to coast. Serving made-from-scratch, chef-crafted cuisine to thousands of food lovers every day, we’re inspiring the way the world eats! Our menu is beloved by vegans and non-vegans alike, with seasonally updated one-of-a-kind dishes, delicious desserts and homemade beverages inspired by our innovative culinary team.

At Native Foods our food is made fresh daily—from our homemade tempeh and seitan, to our Native Cheese, to our sauces and drinks, dressings and desserts too! Our entire menu is 100% plant-based as we strive to create a compassionate dining experience serving up homemade meals that are good for you, your family and the environment.

We’re spreading the love of fresh, unique and absolutely delicious plant-based food from coast to coast and everywhere in between.

From our Native Double Cheeseburger to our Loaded Nachos, our unique and seasonally-changing menu items are 100% plant-based, chef-crafted, and made in-house – yep, even our tempeh, seitan, sauces, dressings and desserts too!

Compassionate dining is at our core and we’re always working to improve our earth-friendly practices. In the meantime, we’re organic whenever possible, use biodegradable and recyclable packaging, and build energy-efficient restaurants.

We bring sustainable food to the heart of communities; support environmental and animal advocacy groups on a local and national level, and educate our youth to eat peace.

Invested in serving organic whenever possible. We only use organic soy beans and corn - that’s a must.

Eco-friendly of course! We’re committed to sustainability the moment we start building a new restaurant. We’ve built LEED certified stores, use biodegradable and recyclable packaging, and furnish with eco-friendly fixtures, that include repurposed cardboard boxes, and hand-crafted community tables out of reclaimed Oak trees.

Our food is entirely plant-based and compassionate which, by nature, means sustainable and earth-friendly.


Thought Behind Our Ingredients

We make all of our meals in house fresh ingredients that are organic whenever possible and include non‑GMO corn and soy.


What’s on the Inside Counts

When building our new stores we are always LEED compliant and energy efficient. Our lighting fixtures are made from reused cardboard and our tables from reclaimed Oak trees.

Our packaging is recyclable or compostable. Do your part by always recycling and composting!
