Time flies! It’s hard to believe that it’s already August, and while we’re sad to say good-bye to last month’s Fried Green Tomato BLT special, we’re also very VERY excited to introduce our new Chef’s Special, the vegan CHIMICHURRI STEAK BOWL!

Chef Chris Bertke got inspired by South American cuisine and whipped up this unique and super flavorful bowl featuring vegan beef tips smothered in a house-made chimichurri sauce, crispy fried plantains, and corn relish on a bed of quinoa brown rice pilaf. Drizzled with green goddess dressing for some extra garlic and herb goodness.
While there’s lots to love about this dish, the vegan tri-tip steak is definitely the star of it. We’re working with San Diego-based Before the Butcher to bring you a plant-based steak that is unbelievably authentic in flavor and texture, and free of gluten, GMOs, dairy, cholesterol, hormones, and antibiotics. And it tastes amazing! We smother the beef tips in a flavorful chimichurri sauce that’s heavy on fresh parsley and garlic, and features vinegar and red pepper flakes for that authentic Argentinian flavor.
The vegan Chimichurri Steak Bowl is available throughout the month of August at all Native Foods vegan restaurants (check out our locations page to find a vegan restaurant nearby!)
